When using your blowdryer there are generally two types of attachments you can use. The concentrator, which helps direct the hair and gets rid of any frizz or flyaways. The diffuser, which you would use for curly hair that heats the air around the hair. This helps the moisture to evaporate without blowing the hair all over the place and creating frizz. You want to be sure to establish which attachment better suits your hairstyle . Using the blowdryer without the nozzle or a diffusor defeats the purpose and will just create frizz or worse; heat damage your hair. The temperature setting on your blowdryer is there for a reason. When drying your roots go ahead and use the high heat setting. However, when going down to your ends switch to the low heat setting to prevent additional heat damage. When blow drying damaged hair you want to use heat protective products. A good product to use is the Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray. It is going to protect your hair from that damaging heat and keep it shiny and frizz free.
