Steps

TRESemmé stylist, Tyler Laswell, teaches us how to use Climate Control Finishing Spray to create the perfect Fishtail Braid.
  • Step 1, Part Hair

    1.

    Part Hair

Brush out the hair, creating a part wherever you favor or what works for your natural hairline. You can alternatively keep it un-brushed for a softer and more romantic hairstyle.

  • Step 2, Secure Hair

    2.

    Secure Hair

Secure a loose, low ponytail, using the Climate Control Finishing Spray to smooth down any extra flyaways on top.

  • Step 3, Section Hair

    3.

    Section Hair

Take the ponytail and split it into two equal sections.

  • Step 4, Braid Hair

    4.

    Braid Hair

Take a small section from the right side section of the ponytail and add to the larger section on the left. Repeat for the left side, taking a small section from the left side and adding it to the right side. Continue braiding all the way down.

  • Step 5, Secure With Elastic

    5.

    Secure With Elastic

Secure the end of the braid with a snag-free elastic.

  • Step 6, Apply Finishing Spray

    6.

    Apply Finishing Spray

Smooth down any flyaways by spraying a bit of the Climate Control Finishing Spray on the palm of your hand and then sliding down over the braid.
